A Visit to the School
Today we decided to visit the school so we walked about 8 or 9 kilometres there from the hostel. Yes, not a good decision. Needless to say, we took the bus back. Anywho, the school is great! The staff is very friendly (and young) and the facilities are sweet. We're not allowed there until tomorrow morning, but we got a tour and it has practically everything a teenager needs to function: wifi in the email room and bookstore, a field for soccer, beach volleyball court, a hangout place called the Honeycomb that sells candy and drinks, newly renovated dorms, a sauna, weight room, and laundry machines. Yep, they've got it all. The school is located in Fishbach, and area slightly outside of main Friedrichshafen, but it's a cute little area. So today we are just enjoying what town has to offer, and getting some last minute items before our retreat to school begins.
I started reading "The Screwtape Letters" by C. S. Lewis on the flight over here, and it is an interesting way of looking at things. You can see the things in our lives that Satan and demons target and use to their benefit. I think it is a good tool to use to acknowledge when and what they are using in our lives to twist into evil and sin. A few things have really stood out to me, and my favourite parts are when Screwtape the senior demon, himself acknowledges the power of God. Even the most evil in this world are outdone by His love and goodness. In that knowledge, have no fear, and feel peace.
Much love,
Mickeelie
